Our new home

410 Sunset Drive, an answer to prayer

When we searched for a new school home, we prayed for where God wanted to take us, and He provided exceedingly abundantly more than we imagined. After months of transformation, we opened our doors at 410 Sunset Drive, welcoming students to a building made ready through the efforts of the school and its community.

  • Bright, purpose-fitted classrooms for every grade from JK to 8
  • Room to grow: arts, music, and the annual spring musical
  • Teachers certified in first aid and CPR, dedicated to Christian education

In their own words

The people who make King's, King's

Our teachers, volunteers, and staff choose this school on purpose. Here is why.

"There have been countless obstacles from the beginning, but we have seen them fall like dominoes, miracle after miracle. This is no cookie cutter school. Just as Jesus sought out individuals, we recognize that every student is unique and we strive to meet their individual needs as best we can."

Mrs. FrancisRetired teacher, King's Academy

"I've experienced God's 'exceedingly abundantly' in my own life and I've witnessed God work 'exceedingly abundantly' at King's Academy over and over (and over) again."

A former primary teacherKing's Academy

"The size of the school is what makes the difference. We have the opportunity to interact with the students; especially during times of prayer."

A community that shows up

Nobody moves a school alone

When King's Academy needed a new home, the community came together. Our school families rolled up their sleeves, and three of them brought their own businesses with them.

Total Plumbing Solutions

Adam and Anna Beverley, owners of Total Plumbing, came to Mrs. Phillips as soon as they heard about the new building and offered to take on our plumbing needs. They donated their time and materials to upgrade all of our toilets and to install a new bathroom in the kindergarten room.

Elgin Fire Extinguishers

Darrel and Alison Grant, owners of Elgin Fire Extinguishers, brought their team to 410 Sunset Drive and have looked after all of our fire extinguishers, exit signs and emergency lights.

Sprint Moving Service

Matt and Traci Akins, owners of Sprint Moving, came to us when they heard about the new building and moved the school free of charge once we were packed and ready.

Three school families. Three local businesses. One answered prayer. This is the community your child joins.

Choosing well

Why a Christian education?

Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions a family makes. These are the questions parents ask us most.

What is a Christian education, really?

More than a Bible class on the timetable. A biblical worldview is woven into every subject. In science, students see God's handiwork in the design of the world; in physical education, they learn to set a Christ-like example on and off the field. Children discover that God is at work every day, not only on Sunday.

What if we can't afford it?

We know private school is a real commitment. King's Academy is a registered charity committed to keeping Christian education within reach of every family. Because religious instruction is part of every school day, families receive a charitable tax receipt each year for the eligible portion of tuition, as the Canada Revenue Agency allows for schools like ours. Donor-funded bursaries help families who need more support. Talk to us about your situation.

Can we join partway through the year?

Yes. Families join King's at any point in the year, and there is no need to wait for September. If a strike or other disruption is on the horizon, you do not have to wait it out. Talk to us now, and we will tell you where there is space and how a mid-year start works for your child.

Can't Christian children thrive in public school?

They can. The difference is that at King's, the whole atmosphere of the school, every class and every teacher, points students toward the love of Christ while supporting their academic growth to Ontario standards.

Aren't we sheltering them from the real world?

Our aim is not to shelter students but to equip them: to understand their faith, defend it thoughtfully, share it confidently, and transform the world around them.
